Airbnb listing consistency check: title, photos, description, and limitations
Use a single promise test to find contradictions before guests do.
A listing can contain individually accurate pieces and still feel unreliable when those pieces do not agree. The title may promise quiet while the description mentions a busy street. The cover image may suggest private access while the access section says the patio is shared. A consistency review catches these conflicts before promotion or pricing changes make the diagnosis harder.
Write the listing's one-sentence promise
Describe the stay in one factual sentence: the space, the intended use case, the defining feature, and the most important limitation. Then compare that sentence with the title, first five photos, opening paragraph, amenities, access notes, and house rules.
Mark every item that supports the sentence, adds a necessary fact, or contradicts it. Contradictions require a property fact check; they are not copywriting problems.
Change one layer at a time
First correct inaccurate facts. Next reorder photos so the visual explanation matches the written one. Then revise the title and opening. Do not change price, cancellation policy, title, photos, and description at the same time if you want to learn what affected guest behavior.
Record the date and the exact change. A later comparison is useful only when the baseline and the changed variable are clear.
